Spirit Rock FAQs and Rules to Follow

What is the fee to paint the rock?

​The cost to reserve the rock is $10.

When can I begin painting the rock?

After you reserve the rock, you can begin painting at 5 PM the afternoon before your reservation. For example, if you've reserved the rock for Thursday, May 2, you may start painting on Wednesday, May 1st at 5 PM. Please respect the 5 PM start time! This will allow the current student to enjoy a full day before changes are made. NO EXCEPTIONS.

How long will the rock remain painted?

Each reservation is for 24 hours. This includes any time you use to paint the rock. Keep in mind that if you reserve a weekend day or holiday, your paint design will not be seen during any school days. Don't forget to take any photos during your 24-hour reservation slot!

Does the PTA provide the supplies? 

No, we DO NOT provide supplies or labor. 

Can I have someone paint the rock for me?

Yes, you can hire someone to paint the rock on your behalf. If you hire someone to paint the rock, please ensure they know the rules, especially the allowed start time.

Is there anything I can not do?

Please DO NOT paint on the trees, ground, curb, or sidewalk! DO NOT test paint colors on the trees, ground, curb, or sidewalk! We want to keep our school property neat and clean. 

Please DO NOT leave anything behind. All supplies brought with you must be removed when you depart.
